Minaz Jivraj is a two-time recipient of the National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officials (NASSLEO) prestigious “President’s Award”, and was the recipient of the 2024 Canadian Security Magazine, “Lifetime Achievement Award”, with over 40 years of senior management and international operational experience in Security, understanding Human intelligence, Behavior/Risk Threat Assessment, appropriate Risk Mitigation, Situational Awareness, Emergency Planning, analyzing Criminal Intelligence Information, Forensic Psychological evaluations, Security counter-measure and Safety field.

Minaz brings over 40 years of senior management and international operational experience in the security industry, specializing in human intelligence, behavioral and risk threat assessments, risk mitigation, situational awareness, emergency planning, criminal intelligence analysis, forensic psychological evaluations, security countermeasures, and safety management.

Following a distinguished career with the school board, he established MRJ Consultants with a mission to harness his extensive expertise and lived experiences to drive meaningful change. Committed to the highest standards of evidence-based practice, in-depth research and analysis to enhance safety protocols, offering strategic insights and tailored solutions that empower educational institutions, organizations, and individuals to create safer, more effective environments.

Minaz Jivraj has been recognized twice with the prestigious President’s Award from the National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officials (NASSLEO). Additionally, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Canadian Security Magazine in 2024. His contributions to schools and community safety have been acknowledged by various civil societies, law enforcement agencies, provincial and federal members of Parliament, as well as numerous organizations and associations.

With extensive experience in operational management and international security operations, Minaz Jivraj is a renowned expert in risk assessment, threat mitigation, and emergency preparedness. He empowers organizations to proactively identify vulnerabilities, implement strategic safeguards, and strengthen resilience in an increasingly complex security landscape. His expertise spans multiple disciplines, including behavioral threat analysis, situational awareness, and strategic security planning, ensuring a comprehensive approach to safety and risk management.

During his career as CSO, Minaz Jivraj, was actively engaged with the Peel Regional Police Services in their S.P.E.A.R. (School Police Emergency Action Response) plan and is highly proficient in crime prevention methodologies, including Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).

Minaz Jivraj holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in the Study of Security Management from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He is a highly credentialed professional, with certifications that includes:
